A number of publicans say that they’ve had enough and have decided to serve takeaway pints during our national holiday, today on St Patrick’s Day.
People really have had enough, Ireland’s lockdown restrictions are now amongst the most severe restrictions in the world.
Now, here we are. Sitting inside or not allowed travel outside 5km – it’s absolutely ridiculous at this stage.
The majority of pubs will remain closed but some publicans say that they’re going to open today and serve takeaway pubs because it is actually legal to do so, it’s just advised by the government that they don’t do so.
People’s patience has completely frayed. It’s not just a challenging time anymore, it’s utter madness, claim the large number of anti-lockdown protesters who are taking to the streets in Dublin’s City Centre today to make their voice heard. Who knows, maybe they’ll grab a quick drink along their way!
