Authorities in the US have revealed that a child killer has become the eight person to die with suspected Covid-19 at a Californian prison.
According to The New York Post, John Beames, 67, has become the latest person to die with the virus at San Quentin State Prison, which is located north of San Francisco.
It is understood that the the prison has seen a large spike in cases with a total of 2,125 inmates diagnosed with the virus.
The New York Post reports that there has been a total of 15 suspected Covid-19 related deaths at the prison, eight of which involved death row inmates.
Beames was put on death row after being found guilty of the murder and torture of a 15-month-old in Tulare County in 1995.
