There has been plenty of Christmas villages/markets popping up across Ireland in recent weeks with many of them delighting us with their with their Christmas cheer and colourful display’s, however they all may have been just blown out of the water as one U.S town has amazed the world by decorating there streets with a staggering 500,000 Christmas lights.
Yes! you have read that right half a million lights, the magical Christmas wonderland was created by the residents of the small Washington town of Leavenworth over the past number of weeks. The small town which is similar to a Bavarian village has a population of just under 2,000, have amazed the world with their festive display that spans throughout the streets of the entire town.
The fantastic display is an annual tradition for it’s residents and is expanded every year with a number of lights added in different areas of the town. The dazzling display is a major tourist attraction which attracts in the region of 25,000 to 30,000 visitors from all over the world to see it’s beautiful lighting display which runs throughout December. The town also receive a number of donations which are distributed to charities throughout the state.
This Christmas town is surely a sight to behold!!
