Churches reopen across Ireland for Sunday Mass adhering to strict social distancing

Even though Churches across Ireland were broadcasting Mass via their websites and Youtube, people wanted to get back to going to an actual Church and receive Holy Communion in person to have some sort of normality returned to their life.

Churches up and down the country reopened this week adhering to all government guidelines as to what is safe for parishioners who are attending in person.

People had to use hand sanitizer on the way into the Church with every other pew sealed off for use. People were only allowed to sit either end of the pew and in the middle to keep 2 metres apart from the next person, unless they were from the same household or were children.

All in all, things are going well with the Priest and Ministers for the Eucharist walking around the Church with people receiving Holy Communion at their seat.

As more and more restrictions are lifted, normality will eventually return to Churches around the country.
