People are finding rats crawling up toilets in their homes seeking food after the pandemic




A large number of people are reporting unwelcome visitors to their home since the pandemic broke out.

A pest control expert in the UK has revealed that he is receiving more calls after a number of people have reported seeing rats climbing up toilets and drains during the Covid-19 lockdown.

According to The Mirror newspaper, Mike Flynn, the boss of Alpha Pest Control, has said that more and more sightings of the rodents has occurred due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

Flynn who says the rats are adapting their behaviour are being more daring as the lack of takeaway food containers are cites has led to them scouraging for food.

The pest control expert who has warned the public to seal up their homes, also revealed that the rats have even turned to eating one another as mothers have been seen eating their young in order to survive.

The Mirror reports that a high a number of cases have been reported in Stoke-on-Trent in recent weeks.

Flynn told the paper that rats are easily drawn to homes especially if there’s fly tipping in the area

They are also drawn to food scraps and seed that the public purposely leave out for birds.
