The sister of a man who died in a “one-punch” attack has appealed for information that would help catch his killer.

Devastated Sharon Lynn wants justice for her brother Martin, who was attacked as he got out of a taxi just meters from his front door, reports The Mirror.

It is understood that Lynn was attacked by a motorcyclist while getting out of a taxi on Larkhill Road in Whitehall, Dublin at around 4.30 am on July 30.

The motorcyclist allegedly hit Mr Lynn once in the head before fleeing the scene.

A 33-year-old office administrator fell to the ground and hit his head, sustaining catastrophic injuries.

He died in hospital two days later.

Sharon told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “My goal is to draw attention to the fact that it was an unprovoked assault, not a ‘road rage’ incident or a ‘row’. Martin didn’t engage with the attacker at all and was such a mild-mannered person that it’s hard to believe this could happen to him. Our heartbreak is further intensified by the fact that the attacker has not been caught or come forward,” reports The Mirror.

She said: “I did the Crimecall interview to make a public appeal to anyone who might know something,” reports The Mirror.

A garda spokesman repored there have been no arrests to date, he added that the investigation is currently ongoing at Santry Garda Station.

He added: “Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward,” reports The Mirror.
