A man in Florida who was thought to be hours away from death while suffering with the Covid-19 virus has claimed that the drugs hydroxychloroquine, a prescription drug that’s been used to treat malaria for decades and auto-immune diseases like lupus saved his life.
Hydroxychloroquine and a related drug, chloroquine, have been touted by the Trump administration as means to combat the Coronavirus after promising trials in other countries and has ordered the FDA to fast track clinical trials.
Unfortunately, a man in Arizona took fish tank cleaner, mistakenly thinking it was the drug President Trump had spoken about with professional medical oversight and died.
This incident is now being used by anti-Trump political media outlets to attack the US President despite the fact that anti-malaria drugs are considered a potential combatant for the Chinese virus.
