Coronavirus: St. Patrick’s Day parade cancelled in County Cork town due to mass infection fears

The authorities in charge of the St Patrick’s Day parade in Youghal, Co Cork have decided that it’s just too risky to hold this year’s parade and they’ve pulled it.

Councillors and officials said that they believed there’d be too many people packed into the narrow streets of Youghal and the possibility of coronavirus being spread or contracted is just too great of a risk to hold the parade.

Many people have now called for parades around the country to be likewise cancelled to prevent further coronavirus cases in Ireland being confirmed.
