Manhattan witnessed the eerie and ominous sight of a flock of vultures circling above its virtually deserted streets.
The sight came shortly after city workers were forced to use sheets to wrap dead bodies inside a truck as body bags ran in short supply.
Vultures are scavenging birds of prey that can detect the scene of a dead body from over a mile away.
