The Brazilian President, Jail Bolsonaro, has fallen ill with coronavirus.
Mr. Bolsonaro, who had repeatedly downplayed the severity of the disease and deemed it ‘a little flu’, began experiencing symptoms over the weekend.
Official figures say that there have been over 1.5m infections in Brazil so far, with over 65,000 deaths. These figures represent the world’s second highest after the United States.
