School principals say that children might not be allowed back in school if they have been abroad this summer

School principals are saying that children who travel abroad this summer might not be allowed back into classrooms when the new term starts.

Schools are currently on course to reopen in late August or early September as normal, but staff are saying that children who were abroad would ‘pose significant challenges.’

It remains to be seen whether or not schools will open as scheduled.
