The government had threatened to cut it sooner or later, and now it appears that the special covid payment is about to get cut.
The Irish Government has confirmed that the €350 emergency payment will remain until August 10 at least, but with caveats.
From the start of July, those workers who were earning more than €200 a week will still receive the full €350 payment.
Those workers earning less than that however, will see their payments cut to €203.
Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that ministers would most certainly not see any reduction to their pay packets, crisis or no crisis.
