The Health Service Executive (HSE) is claiming that up to 10,000 people attended the walk-in vaccination centers around Ireland on Saturday.
Medical staff will administer the first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which has been linked to serious side effects, including heart inflammation, requiring immediate medical assistance.
The facilities will remain open throughout the Bank Holiday weekend.
