The Minister for Health has said that it’s ‘too early to decide’ if further restrictions will be eased on July 5.
According to Minister Stephen Donnelly, the situation with the Delta (Indian) variant is ‘rapidly evolving.’
The variant, thought to be much more transmissible than other coronavirus strains, was first detected in India a few weeks back and has since become predominant in countries such as the UK.
