Covid-19: Taoiseach confirms that non-essential air travel will be allowed from next month

Caretaker Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has confirmed that non-essential travel will be allowed from next month.

Ireland will move to Phase 3 of re-opening on June 29, which means most businesses and workplaces will reopen, albeit with certain restrictions still in place.

Despite the Taoiseach’s words, Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan has advised against traveling abroad, after he confirmed that 7% of new cases of Covid-19 registered over the past two weeks here are linked to travel.
