Deputy CMO says we need to get through April and May in order to get to a brighter place




The Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has said that the country needs to get through April and May in order to get a brighter place.

Speaking at a National Public Health Emergency Team briefing, Dr Glynn said that he acknowledges that people are frustrated and fatigued by current restrictions but he warned that the country still remains in a precarious position.

Dr Glynn who also urged people to take the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine if they are offered it, told reporters that we must be cautious as we move forward.

The Deputy Chie Medical Officer’s comments come after he previously suggested that strict restrictions could remain in place until June.
