There is anger and disgust after footage went viral of a group of Arab men chanting “Allahu Akbar” and other Islamist slogans outside the GPO in Dublin while waving the flag of the so-called “Free Syrian Army”.
The Free Syrian Army was a loose collection of Western backed Islamist terror groups who openly engaged in countless massacres of Christians, Kurds, Yazidis, Alawite Muslims as well as others during the Syrian Civil War.
At times they even fought alongside the Islamic State while Islamists from the Al-Qaeda breakaway, the Al-Nusra Front made up the bulk of their manpower.
While the war in Syria has reached a lull with the government of Bashar Al-Assad retaining its hold on power, there are parts of the troubled country still controlled by Jihadist extremists.
It appears that these violent Muslim extremists enjoy a base of support in Ireland and this base feels comfortable enough to openly express their views on our capital city’s main thoroughfare.
One aspect of the demonstration causing a particular level of outrage, is the fact that these Islamists chose our General Post Office in Dublin, the site of the Proclamation of Irish Independence to stage their nefarious propaganda stunt.
