Donnelly announces the government want an extension of the draconian enforcement powers for another 3 months

The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly announced in the Dail today that the government want to extend the draconian covid powers for at least another 3 months running right up until February 9th.

Face coverings and covid passes were due to expire on November 9th, but what Tony Holohan determines to be a worsening covid profile has given Micheal Martin, Leo Varadkar and Stephen Donnelly enough space to demand that powers are continued.

Sinn Fein’s David Cullinan said that enough is enough and that the emergency powers are no longer warranted and should be removed at this point.
