Over 40 people were injured at a Chinese water park, after a machine fault created a ‘freak wave’ which caused swimmers to crash against each other.
The incident happened at Yulong Shuiyun Water Park in northern China in recent days.
Witnesses said that the wave was ‘tsunami like’.
Chinese media initially reported that a drunken operator at the park might have caused the incident, but a subsequent investigation revealed an electrical problem was to blame.
