The Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has said that just 3% of Covid-19 cases are in those aged 65 and older.
In a tweet Dr Glynn said: “Just 3% of cases of #COVID19 are now in people aged 65 years and older. Incidence of #COVID19 is highest in those aged 16-34 years of age.”
The Deputy CMO added that people who haven’t received a Covid-19 vaccine should register for their vaccine when they are given the opportunity to do so.
