The European Union is preparing a new round of even tougher sanctions against Russia.
The sanctions are designed to further restrict trade with the adversarial country and deny the Putin regime access to around $6.7bn.
The EU has reiterated that it will not recognize any Ukrainian territories purportedly annexed by Russia.
