This week, the European Parliament approved a resolution denouncing “the dismantling of democracy and the rule of law in Hungary” and condemning the country’s recently approved anti-paedophile law, saying it was in breach of European Union values, principles and law reports Daily News Hungary.
The EU voted 459 votes in favour, 147 against and 58 abstentions
Hungary’s new anti-paedophilia law bans paedos from employment in schools and health service, sets up an online paedo register, bans on holding public office and mandatory 20 year prison for child porn offenders.
Sex education materials in schools must not contain anything aimed at changing gender or promoting homosexuality.
