Farcial: DAA’s suggestions to throw passengers who arrive too early into a holding area are likening to refugee camps

What’s happening in Dublin Airport at the moment is absolutely farcical. We’re the laughing stock of Europe and the people in charge appear to be chasing their tail with things only going to get a lot worse over the coming days and weeks.

Between the upcoming bank holiday, kids getting off school and students going abroad for the summer, queues at Dublin Airport are going to get substantially worse.

Judging by DAA’s solutions and ideas, we may all be prepared to wait to get into Dublin Airport and through security.

Dublin Airport Authority met with Ramon Ryan on Wednesday afternoon and presented him their solutions to the disastrous queues seen over the past week.

It’s understood that passengers will be asked to show their departure times at the airport queue and if they’re deemed to be there too early that they’re to be put in a holding area where they’ll wait for a time given to leave.

The camp will be sheltered with toilets but no word on food services being available.

DAA say people need to arrive 2.5 hours ahead of a domestic flight and 3.5 hours ahead of an international flight and this is an effort to stop chaos over the coming back holiday weekend.
