Fearless 66-yr-old grandmother remanded on bail for sentencing next month for not wearing a mask in a shop in Co Cork

A heroic 66-yr-old granny in Co Cork has fought the draconian lockdown measures and says she’ll continue to do so for the second time after she was arrested twice last month for not wearing a mask in two shops.

Ireland has had the longest lockdown in the world with by far the most severe draconian lockdown restrictions imposed on the Irish public.

Well, many feel that the restrictions weren’t justified and decided to take their own fate into their hands by not wearing a mask and living their life as normal.

Margaret Buttimer was arrested in her native Bandon, Co Cork earlier this year when she was challenged over why she wasn’t wearing a mask in a shop.

The defiant woman said that she never will wear a mask, even though she was held for 3 days in a cell over not abiding by the draconian measures.

Last month, she was fined €250 and given a suspended prison sentence.

Today however, she was in court again for being arrested in both a pharmacy and a supermarket for refusing to wear a mask in both shops.

It’s understood that the judge is allowed the grandmother attend a GP appointment that may have a bearing on the case.

There was a major support outside the courthouse in Bandon with supporters saying that Margaret is “fearless”, “brave” and is fully entitled to not wear a mask if she doesn’t want to.
