Farmers in France, the EU’s largest producer of agricultural products, claim they are underpaid and constrained by onerous environmental protection regulations, reports RTE.
Farmers there have partially halted traffic to Toulouse airport in southwest France and the roads close to Paris as part of their demonstrations.
Similar actions in other European nations, such as Germany and Poland, preceded the protests in France.
Farmers and their equipment are scheduled to begin taking action on public roads tomorrow at approximately 7 p.m., according to the IFA, reports RTE.
