At one of their funerals, a teenage couple slain in a car accident shared heartfelt notes with each other, reports Breaking News.

Tuesday’s single-vehicle collision on the A5 in Omagh, County Tyrone, claimed the lives of Kamile Vaicikonyte, 17, and her partner Jamie Moore, 19.

On Saturday, Kamile’s funeral was held at St. Mary’s Church in Aughnacloy. Later that day, Mr. Moore was scheduled to have a ceremony at Mountjoy Presbyterian Church, which is close to Omagh, reports Breaking News.

Their killings on Doogary Road, near Omagh, coincided with a push to approve the long-delayed upgrading of the A5.

The day before she died on the A5, Kamile, a year 13 student, went to an event at her school, St Ciaran’s in Ballygawley, that highlighted the fatality rate on the roads, reports Breaking News.

She had put her signature on a petition requesting that the upgrading work start.

Prior to the funeral liturgy, her white casket was brought through Aughnacloy.

The couple’s last texts were read out to the mourners during the funeral, reports Breaking News.
