FINALLY: Facebook confirm they are adding a ‘Dislike’ button

It has been a long time coming and a feature that everyone wanted to see, but now it has become a reality as Facebook have confirmed that users will soon be able to ‘dislike’ posts and pictures on their news feeds.

The news which will most likely be welcomed by many was confirmed by the worlds biggest social networking site’s founder Mark Zuckerberg recently. Mr Zuckerberg announced that boffins at the website are currently developing away to dislike an status or an opinion. Mr Zuckerberg also told the worlds media the move comes after a large number users of the site wanted to express feelings other than ‘liking’.

The worlds youngest billionaire Zuckerberg also gave a number of examples of how the new feature will be used, he said a number of people would like to use the ‘dislike’ function when people post about family members who have tragically died.

Zuckerberg gave the news whilst addressing those attended a recent answer session at Facebook’s headquarters, Mr Zuckerberg said: “I think people have asked about the dislike button for many years.” “Today is a special day because today is the day I can say we’re working on it and shipping it.”

 

The company’s CEO finalised by saying Facebook had been working on the new feature for some time and was hoping to launch it in the near future.
