If you’re scheduled to travel to the UK over the next few days, check with your airline first as heavy fog is expected to cause cancellations and delays to flight schedules.
A number of flights have been grounded here in Ireland, the UK, and elsewhere in the continent due to lingering fog banks.
Though conditions have improved somewhat this morning, several flights from Ireland into London have been cancelled.
According to British Airways, the fog was affecting flights at Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airports. Passengers are advised to check with their airline prior to arriving at the airport.
