Forever in the history books: Rachel Blackmore becomes the first ever woman jockey to win the Aintree Grand National

Jockey Rachel Blackmore has once again made history as the Tipperary native became the first woman to win the Aintree Grand National.

Following on from her remarkable form at the Cheltenham Festival in which she became the first female jockey to win the Champion Hurdle, Blackmore took the spoils this afternoon by coming home in first place on Minella Times.

The 11/1 winner capped off a marvelous one two for trainer Henry de Bromhead as Balko Des Flos 100-1 ridden by Aidan Coleman, came home in second place.
