France does a number of anti-terrorism attacks routines ahead of the Paris Olympics

In the southern suburbs of Paris, a group of armed men in black are quietly approaching a 19th-century chateau while concealed behind a cutting-edge nine-ton armoured truck, reports RTE.

An hour prior, four masked attackers with assault weapons broke into the old Draveil building that houses the police academy.

As the nation’s capital gets ready to host the Olympic Games this summer, members of the French national police participated in coordinated training exercises to evaluate their reaction to a “terror” assault.

The government is eager to show that they are ready, reports RTE.

First responders are conventional police units, but the scene is already under control when members of an elite tactical squad known as RAID, whose headquarters is around thirty miles away in Bievres, arrive.

At the makeshift crisis command centre in the police academy parking lot, a briefing is held.

Using a map, Captain Romain provides his team commanders with the most recent information that the first responder has discovered, including the position of the assailants who are still alive and the total number of casualties and hostages, reports RTE.
