Gardai in Dublin have launched an investigation following a cash-in-transit robbery on Thursday afternoon.
It is understood that the investigation comes after a security guard was held at gunpoint on the Old County Road, Crumlin at approximately 12:15pm.
Gardai say the man approached the man with was is believed to be a firearm before taking a cash box and fleeing the scene.
It is believed that the man fled the scene in a blue Ford Focus car in the direction of the Clonard Road.
Gardai say no one was injured in the incident and an investigation is currently ongoing.
