The addresses for the Justice Minister and the Director for Public Prosecutions have been posted on an anti-water charges Facebook page.

The addresses for other high-ranking officials were also posted on the page. These posts were made by a third party after water meter installation work was halted in certain areas of Dublin due to harassment and intimidation of work crews.

During this incident, two workers were assaulted, and one of them was left with facial injuries.

It is not the first time that water meter installators come under attack or harassment. Earlier in the week, a High Court injunction was granted to GMC Sierra, the company tasked with fitting the meters, to set up an exclusion zone around installation sites.

The company stressed that it is only a ‘minority’ of people behaving in this way.

Gardai are now investigating the alleged attack and will also launch a probe into the Facebook posts involving the Minister for Justice.
