Gardaí in Co Meath have arrested a man aged in his 30s following a house fire on Christmas Day.
It is understood that the man was arrested after a fire broke out at a house in Beechmount Estate, Navan, at approximately 9am.
Although thankfully no one was injured in the incident, it is believed that two houses had to be evacuated whilst emergency services extinguished the blaze.
Gardaí say the man was arrested and taken to Navan Garda Station where he is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
