Gardai have launched an investigation after a woman sadly passed away shortly after being found unconscious in Ennis, Co. Clare.
The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was found at the River Walk area in the town.
She was transferred to University Hospital Limerick, where she was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination will determine the course of the investigation.
