Gardai reissue their appeal for the mother of new born found abandoned to come forward

Gardaí in Dublin have reissued  their appeal for the mother of new born baby named Maria to come forward.

The appeal come exactly one week after baby Maria was found wrapped in a fleece inside a Marks and Spencer bag, in Steelstown in Rathcoole. The newborn still remains in Coombe hospital, where but it is understood that she is doing relativity well.

Srgt Maeve O’Sullivan, from the Child Protection Unit at Clondalkin Garda station is anxious to make contact with the baby’s mother soon. Srgt O’Sullivan issued a brief statement saying: “We remain anxious for the mum’s welfare, and we ask and urge her to seek medical attention. I would again ask anybody to contact us who may have information that may help us in identifying the baby girl’s mum.”
