Gardai have issued a warning over a phishing scam that sees fraudsters pretending to be from the Department of Justice.
It is understood that Gardai have been made aware of the scam after a number of people received emails asking for personal details.
Gardai ssy recipients are being asked to register for jury service by clicking into a fake website made to look like the Department of Justice.
It is believed that the recipient is then asked to provide their name, PPSN and their date of birth.
Gardai say anyone who recieves the email should report the matter to the Gardai.
They added that the Department of Justice would never contact a member of the public via email.
