Schalke 04 fans marched through the streets of Dublin ahead of the German club’s friendly meeting with Bohemians on Saturday.
Schalke’s supporters came out in force, cheering, chanting and banging drums, before getting beaten by Bohemians 3-2.
The match was at Dalymount Park, with Dawson Devoy, Adam McDonnell and John Mountney getting the goals for the Irish side.
Many Schalke supporters went to pubs before the match with the club’s “ultras” starting rows anywhere they went.
Footage emerged of a Schalke ultras march before the game, where their supporters push and a kick a male photographer. Watch the footage below, which has been highly condemned, even from some on the German side themselves.
Today in Dublin, I went to photograph what I thought was a parade. They grabbed my camera & pushed Steve over. They then kicked him in the head, unable to get up they continued to kick him. They were Schalke football hooligans. I’m so appalled & disgusted!! #schalkehooligans pic.twitter.com/48qNrff2vP
