Good natured shopkeeper releases public announcement to trace elderly man who won a small fortune on a National Lottery Scratchcard

One shopkeeper in Co Cork has been praised for his good nature and loyalty after he released a public announcement looking to trace an elderly gentleman who won a small fortune on a National Lottery Scratchcard.

The true act of kindness and goodwill comes after an elderly gentleman went into the shop at the Top Petrol Station in Inniscarra to check his Lotto numbers and but was only given two scratchcards by the shop assistant who didn’t realise that the man had also won €1,743

The discovery of the mans lucky winnings didn’t come until later that evening when the manager of the store Sean Barry checked the faulty lotto machine and realised that the man didn’t get his winnings and is still unaware of his good fortune.

Mr Barry told RedFm’s Neil Prendeville show that they are now looking for the man to ensure he gets his winnings.
