The Government has announced a €8.8m investment on a water treatment plant in Gaza.
The plant will supply 7.5 megawatt of energy to northern areas of the region.
It is unclear why the Government is directing funds abroad for this sort of project when the water infrastructure in Ireland is in a state of utter decrepitude.
