The prospects of society reopening up fully for Christmas have been damped as the Minister of State and the Department for Agriculture Pippa Hackett said there won’t be a widespread relaxing of restrictions.
Speaking on RTE’s This Week in Politics programme, Hackett said society won’t be reopening fully for two weeks at Christmas as it would be a free for all.
Hackett said there was no point in leading people to believe such a scenario would occur as it would ultimately lead to another lockdown in January.
Instead Hackett said people both young and old should buckle down and do what is asked of us over the next week.
