In further proof of mankind’s boundless cruelty, a video depicting mockery and abuse of a vulnerable Down Syndrome sufferer was posted to Facebook last week.
The footage shows a gang of teenagers shoving twigs down the boy’s throat, and then forcing him to expose himself.
It is understood the video was done in Carrigaline, Co. Cork, and then uploaded to social media. Facebook staff have now removed the footage after a firestorm of complaints was raised.
Local Gardai are said to be aware of the incident, but neither the victim nor the family have approached the authorities yet.
