A flight from Shannon to Washington had to return to the airport a short time into the flight due to a passenger falling ill.
Medical staff met the crew upon landing and took the passenger into hospital
A spokesman for the Dublin Airport Authority confirmed the flight had returned to Shannon, but were unaware of the passenger’s status.
It is believed he man’s illness was related to a pre-existing condition.
