From now until the end of the week, temperatures are predicted to rise steadily, reaching potential highs of 25C on Sunday before the weather turns gloomy, reports The Mirror.
Met Eireann predicts that daily highs will rise through Sunday, but next week will bring unstable weather and a lot of rain.
The national forecaster says that “heavy bursts” are expected today, especially in the northwest and north, therefore you should avoid taking the chance of leaving the home without an umbrella.
It is predicted that Thursday, August 8, will be a quite gloomy and foggy day with scattered showers and drizzle occurring all around the nation. Although it will continue to be humid with temperatures between 17 and 21 degrees Celsius, the rain is predicted to get heavier throughout the afternoon, reports The Mirror.
Thankfully, the weather is supposed to improve over the weekend. Friday will be mostly sunny, although there will also be a few isolated showers, mostly in the north and west. Leinster will have the hottest weather, with most places remaining dry into the evening as highs might reach 22C.
Temperatures will climb once further on Saturday, with projected highs of 23C. There will be a mix of sunshine and sporadic showers, but the latter will mostly affect Connacht and Ulster in the morning.
Even though Sunday’s weather is still predicted to be unpredictable by weather models, it appears that it might be the best day of the week so far. It will be mostly dry with hazy, sunny spells and temperatures as high as 25C before evening brings persistent rain that will move into the west and southwest and is predicted to last into the early days of next week, reports The Mirror.
