According to reports on social media in the past few minutes the Holiday Inn hotel has taken in hundreds stranded children following an explosion at Manchester Arena.
It is believed the hotel opened its doors to desperate teenagers and young people who got separated from their parents/gaurdians after they fled the scene in horror.
It is understood a number of people have been killed and many more have been injured in the explosion which occurred during an Ariana Grande concert this evening.
According to a number of eyewitnesses thousands of people flee the scene after a loud explosion occurred at approximately 10:45pm.
Reports say the singer was unarmed in the incident, it is also believed the venue was full of young people attending the concert.
