The HSE are planning to role out Covid-19 booster vaccines this coming winter.
Accordring to Dr Colm Henry, the health service are looking to role out the booster to at risk groups over the winter months.
Speaking to RTE News, Dr Henry said the health service are looking to align the booster programme with the flu jab.
It is expected that the booster would be offered to frontline healthcare workers, older people and those who are considered vulnerable.
