After a weekend of pure hell for 6 young students in Cork, HSE officials have pleaded with other students not to face the same fate that has left one student in particular in a life-threatening situation in Cork.
The students allegedly took drugs that basically contained pure carbonated acid. Hard to believe, but the same drug was bought and sold in the dubious “head shops” that plagued the country 5 years ago.
Dr Killian Maguire said:
“Young people just don’t understand, they are playing with fire with party drugs. More often than not, the drugs are pure acid and many have been found to have rat poison.”
Further comments were issued about the credibility of the sellers of such drugs:
“People need to remember that people selling party are drug dealers. They more than likely have no morals and almost certainly have no idea what is contained in the substances they’re selling.”
“We would urge as much social media spreading of these comments as is possible. People need to think and say no.”
