HSE urge public to contact GP or pharmacist before attending medical facilities with winter vomiting bug




The HSE have issued a warning to the public urging anyone with symptoms of the winter vomiting bug to phone their GP or pharmacist before attending any healthcare facility.

The warning comes after the authority experienced a significant increase in the levels of Norovirus around the country this week.

They also say anyone with vomiting or diarrhoea is being urged to seek advice over the phone and to only attend a local emergency department if their GP advises the to attend.
