Just about €470,000 worth of cannabis was seized by Revenue officials this afternoon.
The drugs, which weighed 23.5kg in total, were discovered during a routine profiling at Portlaoise Mail Centre.
The shipment originated in West Africa and had a destination address in north Dublin City.
