The French newspaper Le Monde yesterday unveiled a poignant cartoon in the wake of the deadly Paris and Brussels attacks.
The cartoon, which shows a French flag and a Belgium flag huddled together and crying. The dates of the attacks are printed below the flags.
The image has gone viral worldwide in just 24 hours. And in another act of solidarity, the Eiffel Tower and various other landmarks in Europe displayed the colours of the Belgian flag last night and tonight.
