
A baby boy has suffered serious injuries after a dog attack in Callan, Co Kilkenny.
Gardaí and emergency crews were called to a house in the town at around 3pm Wednesday afternoon following an incident involving two dogs, reports RTE.
The boy, who is 18 months old, was transported to Children’s Health Ireland in Crumlin.
His injuries are understood to be serious, however they are not believed to be life-threatening at this time, reports RTE.
The location has been secured so that a technical examination can be carried out.
Gardaí confirmed that two dogs were taken from the property and that arrangements are being made with local veterinary services for their euthanisation, reports RTE.
Enquiries into the incident are continuing.
